A Colorado Springs native, William SHANER made history on Sunday as he won gold in the men’s 10-meter air rifle at the Tokyo Olympics. He earned a score of 251.6, just 1.2 points shy of the world record.
Shaner, who competed with the University of Kentucky junior rifle team, began shooting when he was eight years old and became one of the top youth shooters in the country. He credits his coaches for his success.
