Acharya Movie Story
The narrative centers around a middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer who initiates a struggle against the Endowments Department over the theft of temple finances and donations, and is billed as a socio-political actioner.
Acharya is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Koratala Siva. It is produced by Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment. The film stars Chiranjeevi as the titular character alongside Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde. It features music composed by Mani Sharma with cinematography by Tirru.
The film was launched in October 2019. Principal photography began in January 2020 but the production has been delayed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Acharya was released on 29 April 2022 & was critically panned by the critics, for its story, outdated screenplay, direction, slow pace in the first half & VFX, but praised the performances of Chiranjeevi & Charan, music & cinematography. It was a huge commercial disaster.
